The story

What is Kiva Confections?

Founded in California in 2010, Kiva began with a simple idea: cannabis edibles should taste excellent and offer clearly measured servings. Its first chocolate bars helped establish a reputation for careful confectionery, ingredient quality and consistent formulation. Today, the Kiva family spans chocolates, gummies, chews, mints and bite-sized treats.

The signature collections

What Kiva is famous for

Kiva is more than a single chocolate bar. These five collections each have a distinct format and approach to flavor.

01 · Chocolate

Kiva Bars

The original signature: cannabis-infused chocolate made with cacao and solventless cold-water hash. Varieties include milk chocolate, dark chocolate and flavored bars.

02 · Gummies

Camino

Fruit-flavored cannabis gummies and chews in a range of cannabinoid combinations. Camino organizes products around flavor and experience-inspired collections.

03 · Live extracts

Lost Farm

Strain-specific gummies and chews made with live resin or solventless live rosin. These extracts are produced with an emphasis on preserving the source cultivar's characteristics.

04 · Chocolate bites

Terra

Small, chocolate-covered treats, including flavors such as blueberry, espresso bean and sea salt caramel. Terra uses a confectionery panning process.

05 · Mints

Petra

Compact, precisely portioned cannabis mints. Petra is recognized for its smaller servings and portable format.

The details

Cold-water hash, live resin and live rosin: what's the difference?

These terms describe different cannabis extracts, not different candy shapes. Understanding them helps explain why Kiva Bars and Lost Farm products are distinctive.

Cold-water hash uses water, ice and mechanical separation to collect resin-rich trichomes from cannabis. Kiva highlights this solventless ingredient in its chocolate bars and Terra Bites.

Live resin is generally extracted from fresh-frozen cannabis using solvents that are subsequently removed. Lost Farm uses live resin in some strain-specific edibles.

Live rosin is made without hydrocarbon solvents, using mechanical processes such as heat and pressure after trichome separation. Lost Farm also offers live rosin edibles.

Edibles education

Understanding THC, CBD and serving sizes

Edible labels may list THC alone or combinations such as THC:CBD and THC:CBN. A ratio compares the quantities of the named cannabinoids; for example, 1:1 THC:CBD means equal amounts of each. The milligrams per serving—not just the package total—tell you how much is in one portion.

Edibles can take longer to be felt than inhaled cannabis, and their effects can last longer. Follow the package directions, allow adequate time before considering another serving, and keep cannabis edibles securely away from children and pets.
